  • Nice wine, licorice and spice. Medium to full bodied, you can feel the Cab influence here. Drinking nicely with secondary notes and some tertiary nuances como though, this can age even longer and is just reaching it’s peak drinking.

  • Opened 2-1/2 hours before blind Spanish tasting, poured a couple of ounces to taste and allow bottle to breathe. This bottle really stood out among the 24 bottles offered and was quickly consumed by the 25-30 participants. It has been 6 years since I last opened one of these bottles and time has been kind to the contents. Color: Bright and DARK, looked younger than 11 years; Nose: fruity/floral with a hint of spice in the background. Palate: nice soft mouth feel with bright dark berries. Glad to have at least one left.

  • Under 90 score? Over-extracted? I think you're missing something...
Third bottle of this 04 vintage and no a single regret. Still an opaque colour for a mineral nose and an opulent palate. Strawberry aromas and a firm mouthfeel.
At 16€ this colossus is calling for some solid food, something like a yummy cocido madrileño.

¿Por debajo de 90? ¿Sobre-extractado?

  • Opulent on the nose with a strong sense of dates, raisins, earth and fennel. On the palate, it felt over-extracted and unbalanced with the raisiny aspect dominating the wine.

  • Restaurant Don Gil in Albacete. Matching a terrific ox tail stew.
Still a dark violet colour, amazing for a eight years old for an Argamasilla wine.
Big mineral nose full of strawberries and wet stones aromas. Low fried calamari even! Dirty oil of course
Palate is rich, almost opulent and quite balsamic with chocolate and coffee bean.
Strong enough to face another, ten years?
It was incredible that without reading my previous note, have had same conclusions.... That´s CT
