Massive Guava on the nose. Almost nothing but. For me this wine had kind of a nauseatingly thick syrupy mouthfeel that I did not care for at all. Couldn't even finish the glass.

Tempier tasting and lunch (Restaurant Rijsel, Amsterdam, NL): Deeper colour and deeper aromas than the 2018 which accompanied it, waxier and rounder on the palate, retains its freshness, lovely bitters, languorous length.

A private dinner (Restaurant Roomservice at Olof's, Amsterdam, NL): Soft and spicy, ripe pear fruit, aniseed and liquorice, flowers, hint of tropical fruit, good depth, mineral notes and a whiff of the sea, good length. A serious wine.
