  Very interesting and intriguing scents of dried apricots, marzipan, and leesy notes, followed by a lush, thick and glycerol inflected mouth, ending in a fresh finish. At 30 years, this beauty is kicking, and would be a perfect companion to a Paella.

  An unbelievably deep and dark lemon colour with lots of oak on the nose and high acidity. This is balanced and definitely ready, but could still improve. At this point in its evolution it is already very smooth. Nice wine.

  Off the wine list at Hugos in Portland, Maine. This was wonderful. Very mouthful, waxy, honey character and some mile citrus bloom. Very good pairing across a lot of different foods (even worked well with Duck). Tasty.

  Dinner with a few Berserkers (Will, Philadephia, PA): Just a hint of alcohol on the nose. Waxy, oily, with orange citrus, slight petrol, nutty notes. Complex and soft. Reminded me of a Rhone white. Interesting and enjoyable.
