I know I was pushing the drink window on this one (and I have one more bottle), but in an attempt to drink those vary such bottle,s I was somewhat pleasently surprised that this bottle still had a little life to it. Although a semi-sweet sparkling shiraz is never my frist choice, or a choice at all, I decided to give this one a go for a small Equinox party in celebration of the autumn season. It proved to be an adequate call, for the casusul homemade pizza, BBQ ribs, venison chops and garden green and fruit salad! The shiraz lacked a great deal of depth and finish, but was fruity, fizzy and lightly spicey and a good match for the fare. I should have no problem getting to the second bottle which is front and center in my cellar. Jjoseph
