  This bottle was given to me as a gift about 2 months ago by a neighbor who was clearing out a number of old wines that had belonged to his Father. I brought it to Scubarex's house last weekend for his "scary" wine offline. I'm not sure what others at the dinner thought but I found this wine to be a very pleasant surprise.
  
  It tasted more like a Tawny Port than an LBV. Light tarnished ruby color but clear. Some alcohol and cassis on the nose. It was medium bodied with a very nutty and creamy character. Blackberry, cherry and strawberry dominated. Not syrupy and only slightly oxidized but still outstanding. 90-91 points
