Color browning a bit. Sweet floral on the nose. Still a solid aged Norton with a correct wood of funky wood, grape and grape seeds and musky animal notes. Has a sweeter vibe on the finish too that makes we wonder if this is the other version despite the correct label. Tasty stuff nonetheless and that slight sweet zag works.

Old library and sherry nose. Soft, lush, slight sweetness to the fruit. Quite nice. Good finish with lacquer elements. Those notes did grow chemical (like Round-Up) on the nose over time. Got rougher and squarer and lost the thread of enjoyment it has on opening.

More than slightly sweet, rich fruit. Serious plums. Long finish with liqueur and violet. Nice, but a very different style. Time increases the perception of the sweetness. Not bad and, iirc, this is a very old style of making Norton.

(Dry version - labelling same, except a vintage sticker on the dry.) Lots of plums. Quite tannic. A bit square. Nice finish with good dry down. Solid.

Great nose with grape and grape-must candy. Palate follows. Lighter body. Interesting and a way different style.
