"When Marco married someone [the owner?] he something that i missed. But the point is that they are now 30 years worth of production and understanding of what is going on.
75% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Gris. Odd that they call it "Gris". He never thought he would work with Chardonnay but then in '86 there is a change.
Smells a bit oxydized, but purposefully, or maybe botrytis (?). Some maceration apperently. And it smells heavily macerated. And then fermented in French Oak. How much French oak changes every year apperently.
Pronouced aromas, cheese, then fresh on the back. Again, I could fall in love but there is some oxydization, or something else that is funky.
Yep, and its definately back at Castello prices. $42 and it works there if not for everyone. On the other hand I probably didn't need another Chard that works for everyone.

Nose: Very aromatic from the bottle. Floral, citrus and honeysuckle notes with an underlying minerality. Very expressive.
Taste: A little oily on the palate which I like. Clean and elegant. The dry fruity flavours of stone fruit came through. Quite a harmonious white quaffer.
