This is a fantastic wine that is going through some transition. Not sure if it will be better in few years or worse. Nose is very Burgundian with lots of forest floor and wet mossy. In the mouth it starts cherries and flowers and end with velvety tannins. My problem is none of it is dominant and seems like the earthy profiles are trying to take over but the fruit isn't ready to give up yet.

Reddish violet. Not decanted and consumed over two nights. Somewhat reticent dark cherry/berry aromas with some spice and, emerging more on day two, there was a mushroomy earthiness that added some interest. Medium weight palate with balanced light acidity and tannins. Drinks well with or without food, but for me is not very interesting.

I opened this hoping for a light pinot, but this was almost void of interest. The following day however it had become more flavorful, but still not very appealing. It reminds me of some of the heavy handed roses that are coming out of Sonoma made from pinot run off. My wife, on the other hand said she really enjoyed it, and won't touch those roses.

Tasty red cherry and raspberry flavors with a hint of earthy notes on the finish.
