  • Decanted and consumed over five hours. This is drinking very well now. Blackberry, earth, and blood orange nose with cherry and almonds on the palate. Nice acidity and tannin is well integrated.

  • PnP. Last but best bottle, a positive surprise. Still a bit rustic and Amarone like but with an ethereal note that brings the difference to the other bottles I had and makes it interesting again (92+). Was superb with Lasagne.

  • deep red color, meaning this bottle is in its best drinking window. First word I pronounce is "sumptuous" thanks to its suductive nose with notes of cigar box and smoke. The palate is consistent and still richer with mature fruit melting with very elegant oak and some enticing spices. After some oxigenation some hints of leather and graphite appear. Thick and dense. A top Carignano, wonderfully aged first in oak barrels and then in my cellar (for more than 7 years) which grants wonderful emotions and pleasantness. Best at 16° Celsius. Highly recommended

  • Smells oxidized like Madeira at opening, after a decant of two hours this is gone. Ethereal and plum on the nose, on the palate concentrated and very mature. If decanted it's still very good but I would not wait much longer.
