64% Syrah/36% Mourvedre. After 13/14 years still a savory beast. Black raspberry, blueberry, and dark cherry fruit. Big, thick wine with a core of cedar, sage, tar, and black licorice. The Mourvedre really shines here with dense earth and a gamey characteristic to it on the mid-palate. Soft tannins at this point but a delicious long finish.

Outstanding Paso Robles syrah blend, drinking beautifully at 11 years. Vibrant, dark cranberry and dried plum, with a smooth, tannic mid-palette and long, black cherry finish. Very nice wine, with good years still ahead. Syrah 64% Mourvedre 36%

In memory of LCDR Larry “Mike” Jordan, a fellow U.S. Navy serviceman during the Vietnam War. Mike was returning to the USS Kitty Hawk from the Philippines when his aircraft, a KA3B aerial tanker, was purportedly shot down on April 12, 1966. His name is listed on The Vietnam Veterans Memorial, PANEL 6E LINE 106.

From magnum. Just an amazing example of a syrah blend. Smoky and spicy with a soft caressing mouthfeel. Just great!

Still quite good but would have been better a few years ago.
