PNP. cork perfect. color super dark with browning edges. nose superripe, chocolate cherry cough medicine. drinking more of the same. not my favorite, kinda weird.

I enjoyed this when I first opened it- I thought it had interesting floral aromas and pinot-like strawberry and tart cherry flavors, very drinkable. Then when i revisited it 3 hours later it was a metallic tasting weird mess. I don't know what to make of that- don't let it sit around long after opening? Maybe my bottle was heat damaged or otherwise flawed?

Agree w/ Tim & Bonnie but feel that this is on the downswing. Chocolate covered cherries, but the fruit is really muted and not much structure left. Bought this on the potential of an '09 cru lasting 5 years but it was not to be; 2 glasses poured and will use the rest for cooking. Save your $20 if you find it in the store.

Tasted blind. Intense, pure, somewhat jammy fruit aromas. Soft and richly fruited on the palate. At first a little simple and I guessed a Cotes du Rhone. As this opened the wine showed a little spice, mineral, and very light licorice. Also a little tannin started to emerge. Better with 30 minutes of air. I was surprised that this was a Beaujolais as it was richer than I would have expected (I have very little experience with gamay and Beaujolais). Pretty good.

Thin, bitter, not certain age will smooth it out. Some may appreciate this style of wine, but not us.
