Quite the crowd displeaser. I like the LLM Lighter, somewhat flowery hand with red burgundy. This wine was not corked. But its acid profile so overshadowed all of the nice high – toned, bright, red fruit on the nose, and in the initial taste, that it was a terrible accompaniment to our Thanksgiving meal. After 20 minutes, the fruit dissipated, and mostly acid left there after. I will wait for my other bottle at least another five years that this vintage will force forward a greater balance.

Pronounced nose intensity with notes of mushroom, truffle, ripe red fruit. Candied nose. I like the aroma and nose of this wine. High acidity and medium+ tannin. Tannin is rounded.

Nose: red fruits, spices, red flowers, raspberry, cherry Notes: coming from a great vintage the wine is still quite fresh and lively. It is fair to say that despite the attractive aroma and the fantastic palate this wine still needs a bit more time in the cellar to reach its full potential. This wine has quite some LLM signature to it and feels like perhaps this is not the best expression of the terrior. I think this wine would require at least another 6-8 years in the cellar before consumption. Although this might not bring the most pleasure today yet I do feel there will be plenty of offering in the future. Drink: 2030+ Rating: 90

(Half-blind Le Moine tasting) Full, generous and rich nose. Chocolate and coffee from oak. Dark fruit, smoky minerality and some bacon notes. Iron and blood. Blueberry. Deep and complex. Medium-fullish, still tannic palate. Quite tough and powerful. Very spicy with asian 5-spice coming along nicely after time in glass. Generous and rich with a lot of upside. Clearly one of the favorites in the line-up. Perhaps lacking a bit of elegance for Vosne, but then again Suchots can be slightly rustic if one follows the litterature.

C’est ouvert et profond, avec encore des tannins fins. Prochaine et dernière bouteille dans 3-4 ans.
