  • Full, spicy nose. Dark cherry and mineral. Sandalwood and indish spices. Sightly rough with flowers and iron.
Medium-fullish palate. Quite oaky. Dark cherry, mineral and raspberry. Some development. Good concentration, but lacking a bit intensity. Ripe and mature tannins.
    Very good to drink now.

  • Ripe, showing plumish fruit characters. No red or blue fruit aromas or flavours. Double decanted carefully.
Initially quite austere. With time and food showed nice fruit flavours on a long backbone. Better after 2 hours and the undecanted dregs (free of sediment) showed nice fruit at the end.
Overall, a pleasant, ripe Burgundy without greatness. Now - 2023

  • Pretty Ruby translucent - 2009s getting ready to drink. A bit nicer than village level wine.

  • Sensorically, this is so close to the Vosne-Romanee Villages. Light ruby with ever so slightly brownish edges, full package of Vosne spice on the nose. Pretty spicy on the attack, then a bit of mid-palate minerality and it finishes slightly sweet with a plummy character. Quite well balanced though on the ripe side. Excellent QPR, and I don't care what some people think about drinking young Bourgogne - this is beautiful right now!

  • Deep color with a smoky, briary nose with a stamp of some authority. I rechecked the label to make sure it was NOT the 2010 vintage of this wine. Firm, fragrant in the mouth and classically a NSG . As the wine warmed up in glass some of the earlier subtleties were overridden by the glossy fruit. But so what? It was delicious and easily one of the better village level wines from the 09 vintage (my separate score for this wine is 97 for its Class-Level and its price)
