2009 Pousse Horizontal. All wines 4-12hrs slow ox. Notes from Day 2 open. On the nose: this tastes like Chambolle today (it didn't yesterday). On the nose: chambolle earth, soft spice, subtle black tea, pomegranate. On the palate: lovely acidity, maybe a touch thinner than I expected on the palate, a hint of heat, blackberry, nettle. A touch astringent on the finish, which shows slightly bitter and grainy tannin. Seems like it is poised to dry out, but solid now.

Chambolle Northside 1er (Zoom / Chicago): 09/10 flight. Full nose of ripe plum and red cherry that is brooding and non-delineated. Palate follows suit with a ton of rich, ripe fruit but comes across as one-dimensional relative to the more complete and interesting 2010.

Chambolle-Musigny "Northside" 1er Cru Tasting (Chicagoland IL): Alongside the 2010. Very enjoyable, but ripeness domiantes with a sweetness to start, good overall density, and an intriguingly bitter finish. Very good now. 2010 much better, as is often the case.

13% abv. Aromatic--violets and "purple" fruits. Mouth-filling presence on the palate with a long finish. Juicy and very inviting. Among the flavors are raspberry, chocolate or mocha, and possibly boysenberry. I had it with chicken thighs and baked potato. This had feminine touches but was not lacking in structure and tannin. It was best on the first evening opened.

Super deep rich red fruits and spices. In a great place right now, sorry this was the last one.
