I was pretty disappointed in my first bottle of this, seemed old and a little oxidised. Although it improved on day 2, did not make it past an 84. This was way better and supported the Garagiste recommendation. This was dark gold in colour (decanted) with a lovely clear gold robe. Intense and complex on the nose, loads of apple pie and pear fruit. Palate was very well balance, complex with definite length of flavour, pronounced apple and pear fruit in an unctuous yet dry frame. This was a delicous wine and clearly outstanding. Would never have picked this as a pinot blanc in a blind tasting. More like a really good burgundy. 91 pts

Med yellowish gold, aromas of rich, candied appole, minerals, dense oily & intense w/penetrating & juicy acidity, very intense mineral, heat on finish (in a good way), b4, a4

Saturday Afternoon at Domaine - featuring Nebbiolo (Domaine Wine Storage - Chicago, IL): Starting to show some diesel notes on the edges, this had a lot of bruised apple and pear notes. Palate was soft, but I found this be refreshing. Maybe a hair past its prime, but certainly no slouch.
