  Tone’s 75th Birthday Bash; done blind: this was VERY young and raw to my tastes; Vosne spices, touch of beetroot but mainly raw, full-throttle young Pinot character; it’s trying to be elegant for such a baby but there was a touch of harsh dryness from mid-palate onwards. This needs lots of time still.

  Very dense red and black cherry fruit but with simultaneously fine tannins. Bits of beetroot, incense and licorice come through with a dried rose petal note amongst the darker fruit. Very suave and polished but very primary today. Opens up nicely and was a great start to the red collection of reds that followed! Classy stuff that is going nowhere in a hurry.

  Pronounced nose intensity with notes of ripe red cherry, ripe strawberry, peppermint. Medium+ acidity and medium+ tannin. Tannin is integrated.

  Fait important à savoir, La Grande Rue ce situe entre La Tâche et La Romanée-Conti.
  C'était évident...un pinot plus chaud,riche, couleur profonde sur des notes de mûres,fruits cuits,violette, C'est plus tannique mais ca manque aucunement d'acidité, au contraire je l'ai trouvé impeccable coté équilibre. Mes notes peuvent sembler être moins intéressante mais soyons honnête...c'était un grand vin !! Il n'était tout simplement pas au niveau et surtout pas sur le même profil que les DRC
  Dans une autre occasion, il aurait pu être la star de la journée.
