Popped and poured. Classic francish aromas of rhubarb and mint. Full palate of red fruits and a hint of asparagus. Strawberry with licorice notes in the lingering finish, which is slightly sweeter than I would prefer.
The vegetal notes may bother some, but for me they are well integrated and not bothersome - and they certainly do not dominate. On first impression this is a fairly simple wine, but as it develops it adds complexity. Good wine, decent value at $18.
