Clear and light in the glass. Rustic nose of strawberry and yeast. Bright fruit (more strawberry?) balanced with strong acid, and on the thin side. Medium finish, on the raw side. I liked the wine more at first as a started dinner. By the second glass, I felt tired, as if I'd explored it and was not finding anything new.

The nose is very interesting, dominated by a pleasant barnyard funk with undertones of crushed dark fruit, smoke, and dark chocolate. On the palate the wine opens with tart black cherries and pepper that transition to mid-palate flavors of topsoil and crushed rock. It has a fresh and lingering (yet not powerful) finish of minerals, red berries, and black tea in a frame of refreshing acidity. The wine is light to medium bodied in texture. Overall it is enjoyable and extremely drinkable due to its fresh and interesting style, but may come across as light for some.

Mostly Loire Wines (Washington, DC): the nose is fresh with lively cherries and hints of smoke. i like the nose, but the palate disappoints. medium- body with spiced cherries. a hint of tobacco. weak finish.
