  • So!...LAST bottle from the cellar.
On nose and Palate: consistent notes from my review one month ago.
Bone dry, savoury , superb balance of smoke, fruit, citrus , acidity and the signature ghost of petrol...a lean wine, that manages to be full flavoured....will search out newer vintages...a first rate wine producer.

  • So...a new experience....Tasmanian Riesling.
On nose: faint minerals and lime peel.
On palate: the above flavours enhanced, with notes of damp earth and smoke, as well as sea salt.....a sleek linear , agelesss wine at 11 years of age , bracing acidity balances the other secondary flavours as it warms up , revealing notes of both lemon peel and tangerine , in addition to hints of fresh rosemary.....a superbly , bone dry , savoury wine: a cross between a Planeta Carricante from Sicily / Trimbach Alsace Riesling , entry level.
Excellent wine for shellfish or fettucine Alfredo.....will still age well for a few years.

  • Nose is an interesting mix of lemon rind and petrol. The palate is also brilliant, with a petrol beginning that moves fairly quickly to lemon and lime before finishing back on mineral notes and tremendous acidity. Beautiful riesling!

  • Clear and bright, pale lemon-green colour with presence of legs. The nose is clean and developing, showing medium+ intensity aromas of ripe lime, lemon peel, roses, honeysuckle and kerosene. It's dry in the mouth, with a high lively acidity, medium alcohol, medium- body and pronounced intensity flavours of lime, lemon peel, roses, honeysuckle and kerosene. The finish is long. It's a very good quality wine with a good balance between acidity and fruit concentration, a lingering finish and a decent degree of complexity, but it could be even more complex. Drink now, but it has enough acidity and fruit concentration to develop more complex aromas in the next 10+ years.

  • Pale straw color. Nose is full of riesling petrol notes, as it should be. The palate is a nice balance of citrus, flowers and petrol, with great acidity on the finish. Beautiful riesling for the next couple of years.
