So this is a section of Lytton Springs harvested at "full ripeness" meaning intense Zin berry jam. Hit it with a lot of oak and it seems out of place in time, like a mocha-Seghesio from a decade later. Drinking well for its age, good acidity and ample fruit plus 14.9% ABV, not far off from the late harvest Zins of the era and if you treat it like one it's an enjoyable drink.

While obviously not youthful, it retains an excellent balance of classic Dry Creek fruit, acid and tannins, all of which have moderated with age. Wish I had more....

Still going strong. Not a profound bottle of wine, but pretty tasty. It has aged gracefully and there's no sharp edges anywhere on this wine. Most notably, it's pure zinfandel flavor. The bottle notes it's a mix of grapes but the zinfandel is what stands out. If there were any brambly flavors to this it got worn off with age. Definitely more claret style. Dark cherry and black berry flavors. Finish wasn't real long but it was smooth. No noticeable Draper Perfume.
