This was dark amber-brown, the color of root beer; the nose has light dusty earth with some forest floor, and predominant light forest strawberry notes with a touch of salty vinegar. Light, but elegant mouthfeel, very low tannins which have mostly fallen away; nice little finish. This was a nice surprise as we thought it was for sure bad, but despite being over the hill, was actually still hanging on with a bit of charm.
