Medium bodied, open, fresh, bright and earthy, with tobacco and leafy aromas mixed with red fruits. Soft and earthy, the finish is not, but the fruits are fresh, with an earthy, leafy edge.

Appearance: The wine is clear and bright, with medium ruby colour fading to a thin garnet rim, it has moderate legs
Nose: It has a clean nose of medium plus intensity of baked fruits such as raspeberry, strawberry, plum and baked blackfruit such as blackcurrant and hints of clove, vanilla and cedar. Earthy aromas such as tobacco
Palate: The wine is dry, it has medium acidity and it has medium soft ripe tannins, medium delicate alcohol with medium body. It has medium plus flavour intensity remainding on the nose such as raspberry, plum, blackcurrant, clove, tobacco, vanilla and also earth aromas and wet leaves. The finish is medium
Assesement of quality: It is a very good wine, it has a very good complexity both on the nose and on palate of primary, secondary and tertiary aromas. The body, the acidity and tannins are well balanced. It has a good concentration of aromas and it lacks a longer finish to be outstanding.
Method of production: Traditional, cold maceration and overpumping with aeration or cap punching, fermentation temperature 28-30°C., maceration approximately 3 weeks. 15 months in French oak casks, 1/3 new casks – 1/3 one wine – 1/3 to wines
Region of origin: Margaux, Haut-Medoc, Bordeaux, France
Predominant grape variety: 50% Merlot, and also 48% Cabernet Sauvigno, 1% Petit Verdot and 1% and Carmenere
Readiness for drinking/potential for ageing: Drink now, not suitable for further ageing. It is at its best
Approximate retail price: High priced 12,00 £ – 19,99 £
