  Ripe fruit and gritty tannins that are quite powerful and drying on the gums. It’s dense in terms of aromatics but disjointed and young overall. Fruit is fresh, not cooked but still over extracted. Not well integrated nor headed toward greater finesse. Vintage and village here are in conflict.

  At a great place now. I wish I had more. Excellent QPR. A more fully extracted Burgundy that some, and beautifully integrated now.

  J’ai plusieurs fois pensé que le nom de ce crû est une fausse représentation, tant je lui trouve une jolie rondeur! Nez floral avec des mûres. Un vin de corps moyen, à la texture soyeuse, très minéral, c’est charmeur et il se boit tout seul. Finale subtile, épicée, harmonieuse. Un excellent Volnay tout en finesse. 91 pts
