Took a little time to wake up, but then had nice crisp fruit notes along with beautiful texture. Not a delicate Burgundy, but the tannins have well integrated and there’s a lightness and raciness to it despite having reasonable body. It seems like it’s fairly early in its drinking window. I’ll try the other one in 3-5 years.

Very good but not outstanding. The nose was tightly coiled and not giving up much. A touch of bricking at the rim showing some age. Slightly reductive raspberry and strawberries with an earthy finish. A touch of black tea on the finish. Tannins were soft and plush.

Coravin fun - Burgundy (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Medium minus intensity aromas of sweet and dusty woody spices, black cherry, slight caramel, touch of baked earth, a little struck match/flint note, a little peppery spice. Juicy, medium plus intensity acidity, cherry and caramel oak. drying grippy tannins have a slightly mineral underpin fruit travels long ably assisted by the tannins. Woof!

Thought this bottle too was heat affected, but happily blew off quite quickly. Steadily improved in the Spiegelau glass. Still quite wound up and in a dead zone. Nicely bound, but needs more time. Rumtoft and cooked baked damson. Might revisit the score if it improves tmrw night.

Savoury dark hued fruits, earthy underpin but not showing massive tertiary notes, rich rather than textured. Pleasant with both duck and chicken.
