  Kleur: Medium robijnrood zonder spoor van verkleuring aan de randen. Maar met een flinke hoeveelheid depot Aroma / bouquet: Halfgesloten (na 11 jaar????), donker bouquet. Tabak, teer en leer. Smaak / Afdronk: Krachtig, stoer en in dit stadium nog wat hoekig. Frisse zuurgraad, krachtige tannines en een lange afdronk met een wat drogende finale. Algemeen / potentieel: Inmiddels 11 jaar oud, 4 jaar voor de gemiddelde uiterste drinkbaarheidsindicatie en nog steeds de tannines van een Madiran-Primeur. Dit is en blijft een eetwijn die vraagt om gerechten die de 'hoekigheid' van de wijn maskeren. Teleurstellend. 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 10 + Smaak / Afdronk: 13 + Algemeen / potentieel: 7 = 85/100

  The nose suggest its peak has already passed or it's about to, but in the mouth it performs quite well, showing a tasty freshness and a solid structure. I wouldn't keep it any longer though.

  Salty licorice, spices and some medicine in the bouquet. Very juicy fruits and also a lot of spices on the palate. Also the same salty licorice. Good acidity and pleasant sweetness. Opinions differed about this wine. I was more on the positive side and gave the wine 91++ points for the moment. Give it another few years of cellaring.
