  • Westchester Wine Enthusiasts (no relationship to the magazine and sales operation with a similar name) periodic civilian wine get together. Outside in the extreme heat and humidity but in the evening. One of the group violated the price guidelines (we all do) and brought this. Pop and pour after the sun went down so it was dark and I have no comment on the color. Excellent balance. Not too sweet. The gewurz spice and the botrytis bite balanced the sweetness. There was tropical fruit and citrus with honey flavors, but not syrupy. Not yet old enough to get to caramel. Went down very easily and was a crowd pleaser. Winesearcher results are a bit odd, but it looks like this can be had for under $30 for a 375, which makes it a very nice value for a solid dessert wine.
