This wine is delicious and at its peak !! Perfect cork after over a decade in the bottle, removed easily. Consumed over two days. This balanced wine showed more fruit on the first day and had softened just a little to an increased depth and integrated complexity on the second day. Light ruby color with no oxidation and medium clarity. Aromas of red cherry and cranberry. Flavors of bing cherry, pomegranate, and rhubarb with a hint of baking spice. This Pinot Noir has a medium to long finish. A balanced and flavorful Pinot Noir that may have more years of life remaining, fortunately I still have one bottle of this vintage remaining in the cellar. A great fruit sources from the Haven which is located at 1,200 feet elevation between Occidental and the Pacific. There are approximately 40 different rootstock and clonal combinations within this small four-acre vineyard. The Haven is very cool and late ripening with 12 clones on soils of Hugo-Josephine loams; the property is very heterogeneous with uplifted undersea volcanics, sandstones, shales, and serpentine-derived loams. All of these elements and great winemaking from Ted Lemmon combine to consistently produce a fine Pinot Noir.

Wine is in its peak window. Red fruited, floral, with light spice aromas. Moderate acidity. Last bottle.
