  • I agree with my review of a month ago. Tasting extremely good right now !!
The cork was perfect after a decade in the bottle. This balanced Pinot Noir was consumed over two days. Deep ruby color with no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of red raspberry and pomegranate, silky flavors of red fruit compote, rhubarb, and marine soil with a hint of caramel and a pleasant medium to long finish. Popped and poured, this wine really benefited from gentle oxygen since it was much more soft and integrated on day two and had not fallen apart. Great fruit made into a very balanced Pinot Noir from legendary Garys' Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands appellation in Salinas Valley of Monterey County. Gary's Vineyard is named for the two Garys' that planted it in 1997; neighbors, friends, and partners Gary Pisoni and Gary Franscioni. Great winemaking from Bill Brouseau at Testarossa. This Pinot Noir is an age worthy wine and has many more years of life left. I still have three more bottles of this vintage remaining; I may open one of them in a few months or so to verify my rating.
