  • BDHANNA's description is right on. Really beautiful after 3 hrs in the decanter. Nose: very good 8/10. Palate: 9/10. Medium body. Viscous mouthfeel with sweetness. Finish: 8/10. A little truncated. Price: 10/10 ($43, 2023). Enjoyment: 10/10. Drinking nicely now. Would buy again: yes/maybe. Everything comes together nicely, the berry compote, rhubarb, black tea, herbs, mint, and pinot noir.

  • What can I say, a near perfect bottle in its prime !! I found another bottle hiding in plain sight in another cellar and it is still tasting really great right now, at or just past peak !!
Perfect composite cork after a dozen years in the bottle. Consumed at dinner with friends. Deep ruby color with no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of pomegranate and cranberry. Flavors of black cherry, raspberry compote, rhubarb, and black tea. This Pinot Noir has a long finish. A balanced and flavorful Pinot Noir from Melville Vineyard in the Santa Rita Hills where Greg Brewer was executive winemaker. This perfectly balanced Pinot Noir still has years of life remaining, unfortunately this was my last bottle of the vintage. As always, a great winemaking effort from Greg Brewer, the Pinot magician of the Santa Rita Hills.

  • this one tastes like it is in its prime, deep blackberries and earth hit the nose immediately like like being outside in a field. The palate was really well layered with ripe strawberry, cherry, wood, soil.

  • Mostly red fruits in the nose with hints of licorice and floral. Strawberries, cherries, and raspberries in the flavor. Well balanced and medium to full bodied with a medium to long finish
