Carries some of the Cos profile, but mostly pencil, herb, and clay rather than any of the succulent plum and potpourri of the Grand Vin. This must have been at its apogee about a decade ago. I see now that I drank this 4 years ago and thought then that it was some time past its best.

value for money. drink after aging for 21 years, it shows similar style as the main wine but more soft. it doesn't like the younger one, which give you herb and spices.

Nose: Thyme, thyme and more thyme. Some blackberry notes as well but this is very herbal. Palate: a bit rustic for st Estephe with some hard tannins still . Peaking through the blackberry, herb and leather palate. Finish: moderate with earth and herbs.
Drink up on these I think. Would be fantastic with a roast lamb leg due to the huge amount of herb notes.

clearly past. Still a whiff of Bordeau earthiness but the fruit is gone

Really 1995 in character but still relatively generous. Chunky St Estephe fruit, earth, lots of thyme. Drink up now.
