Monthly Tasting Group HWS #134; Morey Saint Denis (By VD): Not so many notes this time. Herbs and spices an red and dark berries in the bouquet. On the palate juicy dark and red berries, good acidity and tannin. Good and youthful juice.

Weekly tasting group RWP #291: Burgundy 2009 (@ VD): Really beautiful bouquet with dark and red berries, cherries and also some geranium… On the palate a juicy wine with dark berries, some tea, minerals, salty impressions, good acidity, concentration and round tannin. Good complexity.

Clos de Tart Horizontal Blind Tasting (Extra Space): Tasted blind. Drank from bottle over 2.5 hours. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of earth, black cherries, dark red cherries, violets, sweet spices. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), firm medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of black cherries, dark red cherries, chalky minerality, earth, sweet spices. Very long finish. Outstanding quality. Matching up and pulling its own weight in the blind match up. I even initially guessed this was a Clos de Tart! Drinking well. Will still evolve a bit more over the next 4-5 years.
