Very soft tannin, subtle dust, subtle smoke, nice acid, med fin, med body, drinking very nicely right or of the bottle. Lovely with lamb. Mostly dark fruits.

Oak and red fruit nose. Tart red fruit on palate. Tannins present throughout. Wine is not in a good place currently. Not sure it will improve but will wait 2-3 years for next bottle and hope for improvement.

Very good with braised lamb shoulder with/fennel, ginger, citrus stuffing. Upon opening it was clear this needed some more time. Aerator was very helpful to unlocking it, but really was the best on Day 2. Plum, candied cherry, bits of old leather on the nose. Could feel the tannins even on palate entry but they were not too aggressive and consistent through the finish. Soft but persistent on the palate- same fruit notes as on the nose with bits of boysenberry and red currant. If I had another bottle, I'd wait at least 6 months to open.

Very dark red violet color; oak, smoke, tar, creosote nose; tight, smoke, tar, tart black fruit, creosote, salty dried plum palate; medium-plus finish 86+ points (I'm suspecting '08 smoke tainted fruit)
