  3/6, very good cork.
  Pale garnet core, wide very pale garnet rim. This shows gentle red fruit on the nose, a touch of morello cherry perhaps, florals and a slight herbal edge. Medium bodied with pretty red fruit, light creamy edge, that (not unattractive) herbal note again, quite round and soft on the mid-palate actually then a touch of soil and savour as the fresh acidity kicks in and leads into a medium/good length slightly firm finish. Not the longest or most complex but nice mid-week drinking and showing no signs of tiring.

  This wine turned out really great. Light browning around the edges. I would do a quick decant to give it some air. Classic burgundy nose with deep red/black fruits and earth on the nose. Upon drinking, this had nice red fruits, lots of earth, some light mint. Tannins were a touch drying and upfront still, but it worked great with food. medium/light body and acidity was quite nice. Overall this is in a great spot, but it will easily late 5-10 years if you like mature burgs. Great QPR.
  
  So, in my 2012 note, I questioned whether this would last until 2017. Obviously I was way off.

  clear garnet all the way. Takes a while to show up, aromas of dusty, slightly dried and dark cherry, damp forest notes. Ripe and bright cherry, light but present tannin, woodsy before reddish orange finish with medium plus acid

  Boy, did this punch above it’s weight class. Sappy, round and ripe black cherry with very good spice character. Very good concentration and length. A terrific vintage for this wine.

  2/6. Pale/medium ruby core, pale garnet rim. Lovely pure black cherry and blackcurrant fruit on nose, floral notes. Medium bodied, black cherry and black fruit, touch of vanilla, soft tannins, fruity with an attractive old vine creamy edge, good acidity, good length finish. Not overly complex but very accomplished. Drinking well, no particular hurry.
