Ah, well similar to last notes - drinks fine, but a little more oak for my palate than i would appreciate more than a few sips...am a little sensitive.

Well, i think this is at or over its peak...I last sampled in 2012 - 2 yrs ago - my note suggested oak, but balanced with some complex fruit - trying this today, i get more oak and less fruit - and is 1-2 dimensional at best. Similar profile to my 2012 note. At this point, need a little decant/solid food and would consume this before 2014 is out.
I still will search out latest vintage from producer. Price is a little above average for more entry level wine, but at this age, still manages to meet a QPR, but barely.

Silky smooth and weight, this cab franc has a very juicy blue fruit nose upon opening the bottle. A little over extracted and with clearly perceptible RS, this is no poor man's Pomorol, but rather a chunky and fun Chilean barbecue wine. The fruit on the nose carries over onto the palette with a little violet floral character to keep things interesting. The fruit dies quite quickly so be sure to finish this bottle with friends withing an hour! Try it, I think you'll like it!

Distinct style here with forward oak and dark cherry fruit. I am not of fan of the oak, but it is in good balance here, and a nice experience overall that matches well with appropriate food. Dark blueberry, vanilla, light oak and spice on nose and carries to palate. Smooth tannin and acid. Warm and a somewhat luscious quality. 4 years old now, and would think could age for a couple more years.
