  La Paulée de New York - The Verticals (Eventi Hotel - New York NY): Walk around tasting, in 09/05/99 vertical. This 2009 was form magnum. Ripe, large scaled black and red cherry. Brawny for Volnay, but this is a vintage that doesn't easily/ often show terroir...yet. Fun and tasty for now, certainly with plenty of upside.

  Very pure earthiness with crushed stones and some delicate violets flowers. Very nice wine, but not sure this will evolve much more in the future, although it should stay at this stage for a couple more years.

  from 375ml. Ripe, rich, long, complex. Coffee, ripe fruit. Good ripe tannins. Fairly atypical but very enjoyable. I'd guess will continue to be in a good drinking window for around 5 years but worry that it is too ripe for long-term aging.

  A very pure Pinot Noir, clean and transparent. Totally on the feminine side. On the nose memories of red berries marinated with rosemary and thyme. Also notes of violets, coal or even lactic, almost sweet, from wood. Good length in the mouth, with a refreshing acidity, just between traditional and modern style. Good, very good but I missed some depth, some multifaceted, honestly. My other two bottles to age unhurriedly.
  
  Un Pinot Noir muy puro, limpio y transparente. Totalmente del lado femenino. En nariz recuerdos a frutillos rojos macerados con romero y tomillo. También notas a violetas, carbon o incluso lácticas casi dulces procedentes de la madera. De buena longitud en boca, con una refrescante acidez y de un corte entre tradicional y moderno. Buena, muy buena pero carece de profundidad, de algún aspecto multifacético y honestamente esperaba más. Mis otras dos botellas para envejecer sin prisas.
