Drinking wonderfully well. An engaging nose of rose petal, sandalwood and cherry fruit. It is rich and luscious, but detailed and elegant. The finish oozes minerality and length is impressive.

well made but not very relaxed for a wine more than ten years old with the fruit and acidity is still very much to the fore - not sure where it will go from here

Rather sexy nose which has lovely creaminess, some high toned herbaceous notes and ripe dark fruits. Palate is a little less polished with a raft of jagged tannins driving a coach and horses through the entry to the finish. That said there are glimpses of real potential and intense beauty here. The point and counterpoint of savoury earthiness and gorgeous fruit is fascinating. There are some fabulous wines made in Santenay and this has the potential to become one of them.

Still alive and drinkable with some sweet fruit, but lacked a bit of vigour.
