Very good Barolo, nothing to argue, but not amazing. Probably pricing has gone up too much for this one, don't buy the hype. There are other similar or better at lower prices

La Morra survey (The Quality Chop House): Fecal and muddy on the nose. Decent acidity to the palate, but cheesy and truffley too - is this flawed or the winemaker's style? Opinions differed. Blew off a little, but I was unconvinced.

La Morra Barolo's at QCH (Quality Chop House): Not rated as quite a bit of debate over the correctness of the wine and my nose only really gearing up post a horrible cold. To my mind the nose has a lot of black truffle but some dark red fruit too. On the palate perhaps a bit mean on flavour with some oxidised elements too. Perhaps a little too evolved which is a shame.

Clearly faulty with a very unpleasant nose. There were brief moments when the nose faded enough to allow a brave sip of the wine itself that revealed a rich, sweet, caramel profile. However, for the most part, it was definitely in DNPIM territory for me.
