  Perfect cork and filling. Brick and purple in colour, retraint nose. On the palate fullbodied and with a decent acid kick. Gaining body, flavour and structure in the glass even 2 hours after opening. Past its prime surely but still a great pleasure nevertheless. Some Pinot fruit is still there but hidden behind a curtain of citrus, some raisins and other tertiary aromas. Maybe a old Grand Cru from Cotes de Nuits has more terroir but this one has more body.
  
  Drink up. Bottle variation is very likely. This one was an excellent bottle.

  Opened not decanted. The wine is the color of strawberry juice with some orange / red bricking and clarity at the edge; a touch of vanilla, banana, cherry and that edible white paste that I ate in the First Grade on the nose; soft on the palate with some spice, alcohol and dried raisin to kick it up and keep it alive. Surprisingly alive and a decent wine.
