  An elegant red wine, crisp red cherries and rasperries with some balsamic notes, fresh acidity, well-integrated oak, long finish. Not as good as the better vintages, but a nice drink. Still young. - 89 points

  A spicy and warm wine with a nice mix of sour red and black fruit, soft tannins and fine acidity, the toasting seems a bit too much for the wine though, adding some bitter and smoky flavors, but that went very well with the steak we had. Maybe not quite as elegant and balanced as the 2007 drank recently, but it is still a very good wine and will hold for several years. - 90 points

  Purplish colour, exuberant nose - leather, fruit, spice - very much raspberry and blueberry coming through. On the palate ripe, velvety, feels rather loud with a lot of fruit and oak going on, the merlot coming through with some cassis but the finish is rather leathery/chocolatey with polished tannins. Good effort, very nice drink at quite a price though...
