  • A great find from the 2009 vintage. First thing to notice is the rich colour for a young Kabinett - a real golden brightness. Nose immediately springs from the glass with lots of oily riesling perfume of honey, flowers and a hint of orange blossom - not at all tight or closed, perhaps slightly precocious. Lovely mouth filling flavours and even richness for such a young wine - russet apple sweetness, balanced by good clean acidity with a citrus twist. If I didn't know it I'd have judged this a de-classified Spatlese it has such impact on the palate. Should be absolutely delicious on a warm summer's day or eve.
