Susan's Hill Vineyard - named after Gary Pisoni's sister, and produced from a high-elevation ridge in Pisoni Vineyard. It is simply the name for the Syrah section within the Pisoni Vineyard.
Smooth tannins, ready to drink.

New World Blind Tasting Group $25+ (Bin 75): Black opaque core with thin dull purple rim; olives, violet, inky, tar, ashy, camphor; plush texture initially, dark fruit, black olive, tar, violets, cedar finish, strong tannin; seems like this would have been good with more airtime, this was pop and pour.

Friday Night Non-Blind Tasting (Bin 75): Very dark wine with thin garnet rim; dark berry, dense, plush, violets, olive tapenade rounds out flavor, Kalamata; dense but smooth mouthfeel, dark fruit, some rougher tannin later on, decent acid; good, classic New World Syrah, would consider buying at a good price.

Tart cherry notes are off-putting for me. Other people at the tasting liked it.
Smooth tannins, at its peak.
