Early Christmas lunch (with KC) (KC's place): Consumed with morcilla and apple sauce...aromas and flavours were consistent with previous tastings; honey, a little pain d'epice spice, ripe apple, off dry with fresh acidity, but a little more textured than I remembered and with an interesting savoury almost vegetal/mushroom underpin that lent additional complexity. Very nice.

Coravin fun - European Riesling (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Medium minus intensity aromas of honey, a little baking spice, ripe apple, touch of dustiness and cream with time. Juicy, muted flavours of apple and baking spice, a little apple skin bitterness on the finish, texture, slightly short. Hmm

From Coravin. Sweet spice, ripe apple, a little lemon and lime here as well. Juicy, fresh, ripe apple, stone fruit and sweet spice, slightly drying apple skin texture. Long. Simple but really nice.

From Coravin. Medium minus intensity aromas of honey, sweet spice, apple; quite closed nose though, with time, the apple ripens and is joined by some peach. On the palate medium plus intensity acidity is offset by sweet flavours of honey, apple and spice backed by a little peach. There is also some texture on the mid palate. medium to medium plus length but fundamentally yum.

Coravin fun - 2017 part two (Kennards, Waterloo): From Coravin. Honey, sweet spice, ripe apple and peach. Off dry. Glorious. Perfect acid balance. Superb. Haven't tasted this for what feels like an age and it's in a great space.
