For no particular reason...time to check in on this one. With take out pizza and just hanging out. Decanted for about 30 minutes, drank over 2 hours. Making the ordinary a little nicer with a PNV wine.
Medium/dar ruby, starting to separate at the edges a bit. Some funk on the nose when first opened, evolving into earth notes ...a bit of alcohol showing a couple hours in(?) Palate has evolved since last tasting, dark and red fruits, black raspberry, candied fruits, earth. Some sweetness into the mid palate, secondary notes of cherry candy. Long finish...45+ seconds.
This has aged nicely, in a great spot now. Probably does not improve much from here, would drink over next 3 years.

Big nose coming out on the decant. Medium garnet color. Started to settle and open in about an hour.
Bright red fruits, strawberry/raspberry, candied fruits, cola. Very California Pinot, the ripe variety which are typically not my style but liked this one. This is still very young, should mellow out and gain complexity in time. Medium to long finish. Still hot on the finish, covering up some of the fruit. Auction wines from PNV rarely disappoint, just need time to hit stride
