  This was a very nice red. I was glad I gave it the time to air, since the first sips weren't all that complex. It opened up nicely by the next night.

  Popped and poured with roasted chicken. At first, the taste seemed very thin and basic, with some light fruit. However, it really came alive after about 45 minutes. Aroma of dark chocolate, blackberry, and tobacco. Taste had blackberry, black pepper and some of the dark chocolate. I was amazed at the difference in how it tasted between when it was opened and later on. This ended up being very enjoyable, and it's too bad I don't have more to see how it would age. At the price point of $30, it's a decent QPR.
