  91T off the truck. Hold to 2014-17. Great density and promise of sangiovese bliss to come.

  Deep purple, ruby vibrant rim, this wine rocks. Good nose of cherries, red berries, smoked meat, black pepper (more pronounced upon opening), roses. green pepper and caramel. Dry, medium acidity, medium tannins, aromas of red fruits ( berries, plum, cherries), black pepper, oak. Well balanced acidity and tannins, firm structure yet a bit square, medium body wine with long generous finish ending with a slight bitter up-tick. Well crafted although it misses some depth. On occasion these rustic wines are charming (like with a grilled steak accompanied with roasted vegetables).
