4hr decant. Purple with slightly lighter rims. Ripe, fresh blue fruit on the darker side, but neither pruney nor brooding. Decent mouthfeel, plushly textured, but whatever non-fruit complexity exists here comes across a bit like hairspray - or, yes, bug spray, as a previous taster noted - which is perhaps not as unappetizing as it sounds. Inoffensive, would work for a crowd of non winos, but otherwise just kinda meh.

I tasted the wine over two evenings. On the first day, I decanted for just over an hour. The wine is consistent over the two days. It has a medium body and fine, yet dusty tannins. Ripe red and black fruits meld with saddle soap and minerals. The fruit and minerals come through on the palate, too. This is a great little Bordeaux and the price can't be beaten. With the tannic structure, it can cellar well for another 2-3 years easily and still taste fresh.

Still enjoying this one. Blackberries on the nose. Acidity but no significant tannin on the palate. Medium to light bodied.

Decanted for 24 hours, and some, covered with a piece of paper. This wine really blossomed, with notable flavors of blueberry, pepper and bug spray.

Really enjoyable inexpensive Bordeaux. Good fruit that softened around 2 hours after decanting.
