Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of deep ruby colour with fading rims and legs. Nose: Clean, with medium (+) intensity aromas of black fruit of blackberry, dark cherries and plum, kernel notes of chocolate and almond, oak notes of cedar, pungent spice of licorice, maturity notes of savory. The wine is developing. Palate: Dry with medium acidity, the wine has medium (+) tannin of ripe and velvety texture, high alcohol, full body and medium (+) intensity flavors of black fruit of blackberry, dark cherries and plum, maturity notes of tobacco, kernel notes of milk chocolate. The wine has a medium finish. Conclusion: Good quality St-Emilion with an intense nose showing good complexity, the wine is very powerful, with a surprisingly high alcohol level making it a bit too overwhelming but on the palate it is not apparent. Concentrated in taste, the tannin is velvety and smooth, heavy mainly because of the very ripe grapes, with a reasonable length on the finish. It is ready to drink now and can further develop for another 5-7 years.

Darl fruits, sweet vanilla, balsamic notes, with some VA, high alcohol, some wet leaves, dry, new world style, soft tannins and high acidity, still makes this high alcohol fresh. Long finish

Nice on the nose (91) but a bit disappointing on the palate (89). Dominated by mid palate of brooding black fruits and graphite.

Second Sunday Group: Geja's Cafe format (Marty's): Dark fruit and spice notes follow through on the palate. Medium- to full-bodied, with a lingering finish. Really nice fruit.
