  • Smells funky and old, old grapes, cherries, leaves, earth. All those flavors mixed up and about to rot, yet under that just a hint of red candy, like jellybeans. Kind of weird, but likeable. The palate shows tart cherry fruit then hits you with a huge wall of tannin and acidity. Abrasive feel, very drying and almost overwhelming to my palate. It reminds me of when you leave a black tea to steep for too long and it's nearly undrinkable, kind of like that, but with cherries. I was not at all into this.
