This is why we so much appreciate French Rose'. So soft and delicate, yet some pretty serious structure. Bone dry. The nose doesn't give us much, but there is a hint of rose petal, along with something earthy, and minerals. Not overly fruity, this wine gets it's flavor and structure from those other, earthy, non fruit components. There is plenty of acid, possibly too much, and it may be overpowering the fruit. This one might need some food, as opposed to drinking alone. It definitely cleanses the palate. The dry finish is strawberry, and minerals. Things get slightly more interesting as the wine warm in the glass. It does leave a very interesting maraschino cherry taste on the top of the palate.

Even for the lightness expected from a rosé, this is a very light and delicate wine. But there's a lot of subtle notes that keep it interesting within its easy-to-drink character. The nose has strawberry and white fruit blossoms, while the palate has a nice juicy fruitiness that is well-balanced by mild but distinctive acidity. That acidity allows it to stand up to stronger-flavored foods than you'd expect (I had it with cherry-wood-smoked chicken), making for a very pleasant wine.

Something extremely "right" about this wine. The color is unique.

Bought to help get us into a French frame of mind before attending Les Mes in Seattle. Served with French loaf and goat cheese from pike market.
Nose and taste of Crisp apple. And at a price of under $10, we sang "The Peoples Song" as this is an honest wine for the masses.

Fabulous bottle - very rich in flavor, but light.
