deep ruby color; blackberry stew with forest floor in the nose; is even more tasty than it was 10 years ago, the last time I tried it! Well-integrated tannins blend with cassis, blackberries, black raspberries, pomegranate in the palate. Classic cab fruitiness and nuttiness in the mid-palate. You must let it rest at least 30 minutes to allow the bouquet to open. Then you are well-rewarded for your patience!

PnP. Served at a dinner party so no formal notes. Very similar to prior bottle, but with less fruit. The typical green notes of a Cab seemed more prominent on the initial PnP.

Deep burgundy color. long wide legs ~14.5% ABV. Spicy, black berries in the nose, some fragrant cedar. Soft tannins surround jammy black currants on the palate. Oak really held well in balance with the peppery acids. Very warm, too, makes for an exciting mouth fell. If anything, it's better the second day!

PnD. Medium crimson in color and fairly translucent. Lots of wide legs. Classic nose of ripe currents, oak, and bell pepper...the latter of which is held nicely in check. Similar flavors on the palate, with fine, drying tannins and sufficient acidity. The wine had a really nice light/med weight to it initially, but gained substance after about 2 hrs of air. Great extraction. Very well done wine and quite surprising for Gilroy!
Enjoyed in a Riedel Vinum Bordeaux glass at 62°F.

Very nice. Really fruity out of the gate. More balanced after a couple hours of air.
